[0037] Under the funding of the China Geological Survey Project, relevant research work has been carried out on the Jiaka rare metal ore field in western Sichuan. The Jiaka rare metal ore field is located at the junction of Kangding County, Yajiang County and Daofu County in Ganzi Prefecture, western Sichuan Province. It is 270 kilometers away from Chengdu in the east and 25 kilometers away from Tagong Town along the Sichuan-Tibet Highway. The altitude is 4300~4500m. On the tectonic background, it is located in the Yajiang structure-magmatic dome metamorphic group in the middle part of the Yajiang passive terrigenous central fold-nappe belt in the middle of the Songpan-Garze orogenic belt. Spodumene is its main mineral.
