Abstract

The invention relates to an optical remote sensing image fusion method. Multispectral images and panchromatic images are designed for the same payload. Firstly, the multi-spectral image data is resampled to the number of rows and columns consistent with the panchromatic image data. Secondly, the mean and variance of each column of panchromatic image and resampled multi-spectral image are calculated respectively. Thirdly, based on the resampled multi-spectral images, the gray values of panchromatic images are normalized to multi-spectral images according to the calculated mean and variance. Fourthly, the normalized panchromatic image is used to sharpen the resampled multi-spectral image, and the final fusion image is obtained.
