Abstract

The invention relates to a sodium alginate / N-succinyl chitosan composite aerogel and a preparation method and applications thereof. The composite aerogel is prepared by following steps: mixing a watersolution of N-succinyl chitosan and a water solution of sodium alginate, freezing the mixed solution, moulding, carrying out freeze-drying, and soaking the powder in a calcium-aluminum ion mixed solution to carry out crosslinking, and finally carrying out a post treatment. The provided composite aerogel has excellent surface affinity, a high specific surface area, and excellent mechanical properties, has super affinity with water and oil in the air (the contact angle is 0 degree), has a super oleophobic property in water (the contact angle is 150 degrees), and has high separation efficiency on an oil-water mixture (the oil-water separation efficiency is as high as 99%). The water flux is as high as 2.11 L / (m2.s); the durability of the composite aerogel is high, after the composite aerogelis soaked in seawater for 30 days or more, the composite aerogel can still separate oil and water, and the composite aerogel is suitable for being used as a super oleophobic material underwater.
