During occurrence of lightning current, the lightning current is limited by the input limiting resistor to prevent component damages. Similarly, since the surging current is less than or equal to the lightning current, the surging current can be limited by the input limiting resistor. Further, by inputting the impedanceof the limiting resistor, the differential mode interference conducted by the power supply circuit to the power supply system is suppressed, and the function of improving the EMC is achieved. Thus, the protection function of the power supply circuit is realized by the input limiting resistor, the reliability of the power supply circuit is improved and the cost of the circuit is reduced.
