Embodiment approach

[0125] For this embodiment, the first command packet is based on existing LoRaWAN MAC commands. Specifically, the first command packet conforms to the DutyCycleReq command of LoRaWAN. The DutyCyclePL field of the DutyCycleReq command (ie, the DutyCycleReq command embodying the first command packet) includes four bits indicating the value of the upper limit (for the duty cycle) and one bit indicating that the upper limit is to be applied as the first upper limit. The first three bits (eg, bits 7:5) of the DutyCyclePL field may be RFU bits. A fourth bit (eg, bits 4:4) may be a bit (eg, a bit flag) indicating that the cap is to be applied as the first cap. The last four bits (eg, bits 3:0) may indicate the actual value of the upper limit.

[0126] The DutyCycleReq command can also be used to implement a second command grouping. That is, both the first command packet and the second command packet can conform to the DutyCycleReq command of LoRaWAN. Likewise, the DutyCyclePL fie...

Abstract

The present application relates to a data transmission method in a network system (1). A network system (1) includes a network node (10) and a terminal device (20). The terminal (20) can transmit data packets of the first type and data packets of the second type to the network node (10). The network node (10) is required to send an acknowledgment to the terminal device (20) upon receipt of a data packet of the first type and is not required to send an acknowledgment to the terminal device (20) upon receipt of a data packet of the second type. The method comprises: transmitting, by a network node (10) to a terminal device (20), a first command packet comprising an indication of a first upper limit, the first upper limit being a first time limit for the terminal device (20) to transmit data packets of a first type an upper limit of the duty cycle; and transmitting, by the terminal device (20), a data packet of the first type according to a duty cycle less than or equal to the first upper limit indicated by the first command packet. The application also relates to a network node (10) and a terminal device (20) for use in a network system (1).

Description

technical field [0001] The present application relates to a data transmission method in a network system and a network node and terminal equipment used in the network system. The present application relates in particular to such methods, network nodes, and terminal devices in the context of wireless networks operating in unlicensed spectrum and / or allowing non-slotted (eg ALOHA-type) transmission of data packets. The present application is particularly applicable to Low Power Wide Area Networks (LPWAN). Background technique [0002] LPWAN supports, for example, wireless transmission of data such as sensor data, over long distances, at relatively low bit rates, and at low power levels in order to limit (sensor) battery power consumption. Various LPWAN technologies operate on unlicensed spectrum and use ALOHA-type communications, which means data transmission is unslotted and not coordinated between devices, so network efficiency is limited to about 18%. LoRa / LoRaWAN (LoRaWA...
