Abstract

Aspects of the present disclosure include a titration probe (104) for titrating a whole blood sample, the titration probe (104) reducing the occurrence of titration probe clots. A rod (102), such as a length of music wire, extends across the end of the titration probe (104) and is connected to the titration probe (104) at both ends. The rod (102) is configured to capture the clot and prevent the clot from being collected with the blood sample to be analyzed. The rod effectively reduces the cross-sectional area at the tip of the titration probe.
