Benefits of technology

This innovation relieves weight burden for operators while ensuring they have enough space inside their equipment' cabins without getting stuck or damage themselves. It includes an improved method called snowplows, where wires are pulled into place beforehand, eliminated any dirt buildup left behind afterward. A separate mechanism allows the apparatus to rotate freely around itself instead of moving against obstacles like rocks. Additionally, there may include various features such as batteries, sensors, and cameras attached to the cable headset to help identify its location and monitor its performance overtime. Overall, this new technology simplifies the operation and makes maintenance easier and efficient.

Problems solved by technology

This patented technical problem addressed in this patents relates to prevention of snow from causing damage when transmitting electrical signals over long distances through wires that are prone to getting frost-covered due to temperature differences caused by different temperatures at both ends during winter months. Existing methods have limitations such as slowness, difficulty with removing large amounts of ice (mechanic tools) without affecting their effectiveness, risk of harm if used incorrectly, etc., which can lead to catastrophic failure of these systems' components.

Abstract

The invention discloses a deicing device for a power transmission cable and relates to the technical field of transmission line protection. The device comprises a rack. Two sets of first walking wheels are connected to the rack. A second walking wheel, an ice scraping plate, a main cutting wheel and a pre-cutting wheel, which are connected with the rack, are sequentially arranged between the two groups of first walking wheels. A cutter is arranged at one end, close to the pre-cutting wheel, of the rack. A motor connected with the second walking wheel, the main cutting wheel and the pre-cutting wheel is arranged on the rack. The motor is connected with a battery through a wire. A switch and straps are arranged on the battery. According to the invention, the problem of incomplete deicing caused by a hammering mode is solved; by use of the two groups of first walking wheels, the stability is ensured when the device is matched with a cable; the position of the cable in the device is limited; the pre-cutting wheel and the main cutting wheel are prevented from being in contact with a cable meter; the cable is prevented from being damaged; and the use safety and reliability are improved.
