Abstract

The application, which relates to artificial intelligence, provides a behavior planning method and behavior planning device for an autonomous vehicle. The method includes: acquiring vehicle information, including locations of other N vehicles at an intersection; according to the locations of other N vehicles and an intersection point, determining (N+1) candidate vehicle gaps including a first vehicle gap, an intermediate vehicle gap, and an (N+1)th vehicle gap; and determining a target vehicle gap based on evaluation values of the (N+1) candidate vehicle gaps. The evaluation values are used for evaluating safety of the autonomous vehicle at the time of entering the intersection at the candidate vehicle gaps; and the target vehicle gap is used for enabling the autonomous vehicle to enter the intersection through the target vehicle gap. Therefore, the autonomous vehicle passes the intersection safely and rapidly.
