Abstract

A monitoring module for a hand hygiene product dispenser may be installed in an existing manual or touchless hand hygiene product dispenser to provide wireless communication of dispenser data to or from the dispenser. In one example, the manual dispenser beacon module is configured for use with a manually actuated hand hygiene product dispenser to monitor hand hygiene compliance events (such as dispense events) associated with the dispenser, and Dispenser data is wirelessly transmitted to or from the manual dispenser. In another example, the touchless dispenser beacon module is configured for use with a touchless hand hygiene product dispenser to monitor hand hygiene compliance events associated with the dispenser (eg, dispense events) , and wirelessly transmitting dispenser data to or from said contactless dispenser. The dispenser data includes at least an indication of a dispense event and an indication of the presence of a bottle of hand hygiene product.
