The sow prenatal behavior classification method comprises: obtaining an infrared image containing sows and fences from the upper portion of a pig house; acquiring a region-of-interest image containing the sow in the infrared image, and determining the position of a railing inthe region-of-interest image; carrying out edge detection on the interest area image, and extracting a railing straight line as a boundary to calculate the head area of the sow below the railing; converting the interest area image into a binary image, and classifying sow feeding behaviors and drinking behaviors based on the binary image. Image information is collected by using a thermal infraredimager, data is processed, feature data of an image is extracted, and behaviors of sows in the image are judged.
