AI Technical Summary

Benefits of technology

This patented inventor describes two types of chemicals called polyenones (also known as caffeine). These molecules can act on different parts of plants like roots, stems, leaves, flowers, fruits, etc., making them effective against weeds without harming other organisms such as crops. They also work well when combined with certain substances found naturally occurring within their structure.

Problems solved by technology

The technical problem addressed by this patented inventors relates to finding novel chemical structures that exhibit useful properties against certain types of harmful organism called bacillis or algae without causing negative effects on other beneficial plant species like grains (cereals).

Embodiment 1

[0029] Embodiment 1: The preparation method of compound 1 and compound 2 represented by formula (1).

[0030] 1) Strain fermentation culture

[0031] Cut out the strains grown on the surface of the PDA plate Penicillium sp. TR85 (size 2×2 cm), inoculate into sterilized Erlenmeyer flasks filled with solid medium, and culture at room temperature for 30 days. The fermentation product is repeatedly soaked and extracted in ethyl acetate, and the combined extracts are concentrated to obtain a fermented crude extract.

[0032] The solid medium contains 100 g of rice and 0.6 g of peptone per 100 mL of natural seawater.

[0033] 2) Preparation of compounds

[0034] The above fermented crude extract was subjected to vacuum silica gel column chromatography (inner diameter 65 mm, length 300 mm, glass chromatography column with sand plate and suction nozzle), in the order of increasing polarity of the eluent, with a gradient of 40:1 Petroleum ether-ethyl acetate to 1:1 (v / v, the same b...

Embodiment 2

[0042] Example 2: Herbicidal activity test.

[0043]The agar mixed powder method established by Luo Xiaoyong et al. [Journal of Qingdao Agricultural University, 2007, 24: 267-270] is used to quickly determine the herbicidal activity of compounds, and has the advantages of high sensitivity, simple operation, good repeatability, and convenient for large-throughput screening. , and it is easy to observe and indicate the growth status of plants. Luo Xiaoyong et al. used this method to quickly measure the herbicidal activity of 40 kinds of garden plant leaves. Zhang Lijuan [Plant Protection, 2016, 42: 63-66] and Su Fansheng [Applied Chemistry, 2014, 31: 290-295] used barnyardgrass as the test weed, and used the agar powder mixing method to quickly determine the corn stalks and imidazoles herbicidal activity of the compounds. Zhang Yun [Acta Microbiology, 2015, 55: 292-298] and Li Shuai [Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2014, 62: 8997-9001] took Amaranthus retroflexus a...

Abstract

The invention relates to the technical field of microbial pesticides, specifically to polyketone compounds having a trans-naphthane ring and obtained from a solid fermentation product of the bacterialstrain Penicillium sp. TR85 (which is preserved in China General Microbiological Culture Collection Center on August 2, 2019 with an accession number of CGMCC No.18116), a separation and purificationmethod of the polyketone compounds, and the application of the polyketone compounds in the aspect of herbicidal activity. The polyketone compounds with the trans-naphthane ring include a compound 1 and a compound 2 as shown in a formula (I) which is described in the specification. When the concentrations of the compound 1 and the compound 2 are 10 [mu]g/mL, the growth inhibition rates of the compound 1 and the compound 2 on the seedling radicles of Echinochloa crusgalli are 81.5% and 79.6%, respectively, which are superior to the growth inhibition rate of the commercial herbicide acetochlor,so the compound 1 and the compound 2 can be used as lead compounds or novel pesticide components with herbicidal activity.
