Abstract

A method provides a touchable user interface based on a surface. The surface supports direct human-machine interactions as conventional touch-sensitive platforms. According to implementations of the method, a mechanical actuator-sensor assembly is arranged at any type of object, and the assembly generates and senses the mechanical wave propagating in the object.
