Abstract

The present application discloses computing platforms and methods for enforcing location-based content transfer restrictions. In one implementation, such a computing platform includes a hardware processor and memory storing content protection software code. The hardware processor is configured to execute content protection software code to obtain media content including prompts for restricting broadcasting of the media content, and to detect prompts in the media content. The hardware processor is also configured to execute content protection software code to interpret the hints to identify usage rules restricting broadcasting of the media content, and to restrict broadcasting of the media content based on the usage rules.
