The method comprises the steps that an electrical imaging logging technology is utilized tocollect a sand gravel reservoir image; according to preset line intervals and column intervals, the current image is subjected to meshing division, a transverse continuity index of the current reservoir is obtained according to a standard variance of a line conductivity value of each line, and a corresponding longitudinal continuity index is obtained according to a standard variance of a column conductivity value of each column; according to the transverse continuity index and the longitudinal continuity index, the stratified index of the current reservoir is calculated to be used for quantitatively representing the strength of the stratified property of the current reservoir. According to the method and system for representing the stratified index of the sand gravel reservoir, quantitative representation of the stratified index of the reservoir is achieved, the stratified index boundary of the effective reservoir is determined, and an effective means is provided for effective reservoir identification based on electrical imaging.
