A motor is used for being connected with a thruster of a semi-submersibletype ocean platform. The semi-submersible type ocean platform is provided with a thruster socket for installation of the thruster. The motor installing tool comprises a core shaft and an adjusting assembly. The core shaft comprises a core shaft rod and a core shaft top disc vertically arranged at the top end of the core shaft rod. The adjusting assembly comprises a chuck arranged on the core shaftin a sleeving mode and a plurality of radial supports connected with the periphery of the chuck. The other ends of the multiple radial supports are in abutting joint with the inner wall of the thruster socket. The included angle between the upper surface of the chuck and the axis of the core shaft is adjustable, the length of the radial supports can be adjusted, accordingly, the position of the core shaft in the thruster socket can be adjusted, the core shaft top disc is parallel to the lower surface of the thruster socket, the axis of the core shaft rod and the axis of the thruster socket are located on the same straight line, accordingly, the core shaft serves as a positioning datum during motor installation, and positioning during motor installation on the land is achieved.
