Abstract

An automatic cleaning system for cleaning drilling fluid during drilling operations, comprising a first pipeline, a second pipeline, an automatic cleaning pump operatively connected to the first pipeline and the second pipeline, and surrounding at least a portion of the first pipeline. An electromagnetic device, wherein the electromagnetic device is energized when drilling fluid passes through the first pipeline. An automatic cleaning pump is configured to receive drilling fluid from the first line or the second line and to remove metal particles from the drilling fluid. The system also includes a controller configured to determine a pressure differential in the pipelines, at least partially open the valve to divert drilling fluid introduced from one pipeline to the other pipeline, and close the first inlet valve to prevent entry of drilling fluid first pipeline.
