The invention discloses an opening and closing type buried pipe water collector and a control method thereof, which comprise a water separator, a water collector, an electric control reversing valve,a water separating main pipe and a water collecting main pipe which are arranged in a cellar well, wherein the water separating main pipe is respectively in sealing communication with one end of eachwater separating branch pipe, the other end of each water separating branch pipe is respectively communicated with one end of a corresponding user, the other end of the user is respectively in sealingcommunication with the corresponding water collecting branch pipe, and each water collecting branch pipe is respectively in sealing communication with the water collecting main pipe; a set of mechanical self-plugging device is arranged between a water inlet of the water separating branch pipe and a water outlet of the water collecting branch pipe connected with the same user; the mechanical self-plugging device comprises a water separating side plugging assembly, a water collecting side plugging assembly and a limiting piece, wherein the water separating side plugging assembly is in threadedrotation fit with the water collecting side plugging assembly. According to the water collector, mechanical automatic plugging of the leakage pipeline can be realized, and when leakage faults are eliminated, plugging can be removed again, so that the whole water collector is put into use again normally, and loss caused by pipeline leakage can be remarkably reduced.
