Abstract

The embodiment of the application provides a display device and a manufacturing method. The display device comprises a display panel, a polaroid and a sealing glue layer. The display panel is providedwith a first surface and a second surface which are oppositely arranged; the display panel is further provided with a light-transmitting area. The polaroid is arranged on the first surface; the polaroid is provided with a through hole, the area of the through hole is larger than that of the light-transmitting area, the center point of the through hole is aligned with the center point of the light-transmitting area. The sealing glue layer is connected with the hole wall of the through hole and the second surface, and the part, making contact with the polaroid, of the sealing glue layer is nothigher than the polaroid. According to the embodiment of the application, the hole wall of the through hole and the second surface can be connected through the sealing glue layer, so that a gap can beprevented from being generated between the polaroid and the sealing glue layer, light leakage from the gap can be avoided; meanwhile, the sealing glue layer is not higher than the polaroid, so that the sealing glue layer does not interfere with the installation of other parts in the display device.
