A home device control system and a method thereof are provided. The system includes a monitoring device, a mobile communication device, and a home control gateway. The mobile communication device provides a first operation interface for receiving a connection request, logs on to the monitoring device via a local area network according to the connection request, and generates an identification code. The home control gateway includes a microprocessor module, a storage module pre-storing identification codes, a gateway management module and a second communication circuit. The second communicationcircuit receives and transmits the identification code and a device control command to the gateway management module, and when the gateway management module determines that the identification code isthe same with one of the pre-stored identification codes, activates the home control function corresponding to at least one home device corresponding to the device control command.
