Abstract

A sterilization container for placement in a sterilizer, the sterilization container comprising: a body defining an interior shaped to hold a surgical instrument and adapted to allow steam to enter the body to sterilize the surgical instrument for disinfection; a sensor module defining a void space, the void space of the sensor module being in fluid communication with the interior of the body; a first heat storage body having a first end disposed within the void space and a second end spaced from said first end so as not to be located within said void space; a first temperature sensor mounted to said first thermal storage body to monitor said first thermal storage body of said first thermal storage body temperature at both ends.
