The method comprises the steps of acquiring a road monitoring image collected by a camera; detecting a pedestrian position in the road monitoring image; if yes, extracting a pedestrian foot area image from the road monitoring image according to the detected pedestrian position; and identifying whether a specified transportation tool exists in the pedestrian foot area image. By automatically detecting the unsafe travel tool from the road monitoring image, the problem of going to the road of the unsafe travel tool can be effectively monitored in the traffic monitoring system, the labor cost is reduced, and the renovation management efficiency is improved.
