Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses a periodic structure with gaps. A Z-shaped multi-layer structure is formed by a plurality of first rhombus units and a plurality of second rhombus units, wherein all vertexes of the first rhombus units are common vertexes; the second rhombus units are connected with the first rhombus units which are adjacent in the vertical direction and the horizontal direction; the horizontal symmetry axes of the second rhombus units which are adjacent in the vertical direction are provided with convex vertexes or concave vertexes; the horizontal symmetry axes of thesecond rhombus units which are adjacent in the horizontal direction are provided with convex vertexes and concave vertexes; and the gaps are formed between folding structures formed at the convex vertexes and the concave vertexes. By the adoption of the periodic structure, a new thought can be provided for art and industrial design. The thickness, width and length of a paper folding structure andthe size of side face communication holes can be adjusted by adjusting parameters of an original paper folding structure so that the periodic structure can adapt to different application scenes.
