Abstract

A method of monitoring inventory of perishable goods within a refrigerator including: detecting a weight of one or more perishable goods on one or more weight measurement units; determining a quantityof the one or more perishable goods within a refrigerated compartment of a refrigerator in response to the weight of the one or more perishable goods; detecting when the quantity of the one or more perishable goods is equal to or less than a selected quantity; and transmitting a notification to at least one of a store management device and a vendor device, when the quantity of the one or more perishable goods is equal to or less than a selected quantity.
