Abstract

The invention discloses a method for estimating regional freight OD distribution based on highway network truck flow data. The method includes: acquiring heavy truck traffic flow section observation data collected by cross modulation stations; on the basis of carrying out stability test on the data of the cross modulation stations, selecting the cross modulation stations meeting the stability test as an input data set; and based on the determined input data set, i.e., heavy truck traffic flow section observation data, estimating regional traffic zone freight OD distribution by using a constructed OD backstepping model; and establishing a relationship between the flow data of the cross modulation stations and the regional traffic zone OD distribution. According to the method, the defect that traditional OD distribution prediction depends on large-scale manual investigation can be overcome, and technical support is provided for mastering regional freight traffic distribution conditions and predicting road network traffic flow by starting from engineering practice on the basis of section truck flow data monitored by road network cross modulation stations which are wide in coverage range, high in collection frequency and good in stability.
