An oil and gas pipeline monitoring system based on a fiber bragg grating is characterized in that an oil and gas pipeline comprises a plurality of oil and gas pipe sections, the adjacent oil and gas pipe sections are connected through connectors, and the monitoring system comprises a fiber bragg grating assembly and a fiber bragg grating modem; the fiber bragg grating assembly is arranged near the connector and is connected with the periphery of the adjacent oil gas pipe section, and the peripheries of the fiber bragg grating assembly and the connector are wrapped by a polystyrene foam protective layer; and the fiber bragg grating modem is connected to the fiber bragg grating assembly through an optical fiber. When the oil and gas pipeline deforms, the fiber bragg grating assembly can sensitively monitor the deformation, if the oil and gas pipeline deforms, the resonance peak value of the fiber bragg grating assembly moves, and the fiber bragg grating assembly transmits peak value movement information to the fiber bragg grating modem.
