The VTEP does not need to delete an MAC address table item of the VM from a local MAC address table, and does not need to broadcast an ARP request to a downlink VNI two-layer domain after the MAC address table item of the VM is deleted from the local MAC address table so as to re-acquire the MAC address of the VM, so that the situation that the VTEP broadcasts traffic in the downlink two-layer domain can be effectively reduced, therefore, network resources are saved.
