Abstract

The invention provides a base station redundancy switching device and method. The system is composed of a core network, a multi-baseband processing unit and a radio remote unit. The multi-baseband processing unit is composed of same single-baseband processing units; the core network is connected with the plurality of single-baseband processing units in the multi-baseband processing unit; the single-baseband processing units in the multi-baseband processing unit are connected with the radio remote unit; and the single-baseband processing units in the multi-baseband processing unit are connected with one another. The single-baseband processing units in the multi-baseband processing unit can be configured as master or slave units, data is synchronized in real time between the master unit and the slave unit according to redundancy levels, and when the master unit breaks down, the slave unit is upgraded to the master unit, quits the low-power operation mode, and switches a service path. Compared with the prior art, the method and the system have the advantages that the data volume to be switched when the equipment fails can be reduced, so that the data switching time is shortened, and the influence of a user perception problem caused by the equipment failure is reduced.
