Abstract

The invention provides an earth volume calculation method based on an improved prism method, and the method comprises the steps: (1) constructing an original terrain digital terrain model and a design surface digital terrain model according to three-dimensional point cloud data and design surface point location data; (2) constructing an original terrain irregular triangulation network through the original terrain digital terrain model, and constructing a design surface irregular triangulation network through the design surface digital terrestrial model; (3) sequentially iterating original terrain triangles in the original terrain irregular triangulation network, judging whether a topological relation exists between the original terrain triangle and a design surface triangle in the design surface irregular triangulation network or not in iteration, and calculating the earth volume according to the current topological relation; and (4) accumulating results obtained by calculation to obtain total earth volume information.
