Embodiment Construction

[0013] Figure 1A is a diagram of a system 100 for multi-platform microservice connectivity techniques, according to an exemplary embodiment. It should be noted that components are schematically shown in a greatly simplified form, wherein only those components relevant to an understanding of the embodiments are shown.

[0014] Furthermore, the various components (identified in FIG. 1 ) are shown and the arrangement of the various components is presented for purposes of illustration only. It should be noted that other arrangements with more or fewer components are possible without departing from the teachings of the multi-platform microservices connection techniques presented herein and below.

[0015] As discussed in greater detail herein and below, system 100 permits inter-microservice communication through in-memory routing across multiple disparate platforms (eg, operating systems (OS), virtual machines (VMs), containers, etc.). It's fast and efficient. Additionally, ever...

Abstract

Communication among the micro-services is managed through a connection route in a memory. The sending micro-service writes a message through a port associated with the connection. The message is routed directly to one or more receiving microservices that are associated with the connection through their ports associated with the connection. When the message is received through the sending micro-service port, and before the message is routed and transitioned through the receiving micro-service port, the message can be transitioned into a different format or a plurality of different formats through the processed plug-in. The inter-microservice communication is independent of or agnostic to hardware and platforms such that the microservices associated with the connection can be processed on different hardware and platforms from each other.

Description

Background technique [0001] Microservices are associated with a computing architecture that builds a single application / service as a collection of loosely coupled services. This allows each of the microservices representing a single application / service to be deployed independently, even when the overall single application / service is complex. Microservices are also easy to maintain and test. Each microservice provides fine-grained functionality associated with part of a single application / service. Each microservice is loosely coupled to other microservices because the degree of dependencies between microservices associated with a single application / service is less and compared to the coupling / dependency between the original functionality of the original single application / service The associated microservices are significantly smaller. [0002] It's no surprise that enterprises are migrating their application / service architectures and newly provided services to their customer...
