Embodiments of the present invention are directed to a ligament repair system and method. A ligament repair system may include one or more of a femoral sight assembly, a tibial sight assembly, a femoral fixation assembly, and a tibial fixation assembly.

Exemplary systems and methods may be used to repair or replace a posterior cruciate ligament (PCL), including individually articulating individual bundles of the PCL. Background technique [0002] When a ligament such as the PCL experiences trauma or other injury or condition, the ligament may become permanently loose or may be torn. In such conditions, the ligaments cannot function properly. In the setting of PCL dysfunction, the tibia may translate posteriorly relative to the femur, and the stability of the knee may be greatly reduced.
