Abstract

The invention discloses a method for carrying out limit reduction on an image and judging perception saturation by utilizing variance of a fixation point probability distribution entropy in a reduced image, which comprises the following steps of: (1) firstly, carrying out down-sampling on an original image I by using a reduction factor Ki from large to small, and constructing a series of reduced images Ii; (2) calculating a fixation point prediction map Si of the Ii, and taking a point of which the saliency is greater than the average value of the Si as a fixation point; (3) calculating the entropy Ei of the fixation point on i image scales according to the probability distribution of the fixation point in the Si; (4) within the scale change range of the Ki image, calculating the variance varE of the entropy Ei; and (5) near an image reduction limit point, the variance varE of the fixation point probability distribution entropy has a minimum value, and the value is an index of visual perception saturation and can be used as a representation of a salient target in the image.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of computer vision, in particular to a method for judging the saturation phenomenon of visual perception caused by image shrinkage. Background technique [0002] In recent years, some neurophysiological and psychological experimental studies have started from tracking human eyes and observing their performance in the process of visual perception. Related experiments reveal that human beings rely on fixation eye movements to produce visual perception; visual perception is produced by a series of fixation and saccade processes. When gazing, the human eye focuses on a local area to collect information, which is processed by the visual neural network to generate perceptual stimuli. During the fixation period, the human eye is not fixed, but involuntarily shakes with a small amplitude-generating "micro-saccades", forming repeated scanning of the gaze area, and the relevant information is generated through the hu...
