Abstract

A hearing aid device with intelligent volume adjustment includes: a digital signal processing unit storing a plurality of gain data sets corresponding to a plurality of frequency bands and performing i) time-frequency analysis of digital input signals collected from ambient sounds and generated after analog-to-digital conversion, the method comprises the following steps: i) obtaining a time-frequency spectrum of a digital input signal to calculate a plurality of average intensities respectively corresponding to the frequency bands from the obtained time-frequency spectrum, ii) determining an adjustment gain corresponding to each frequency band from the gain data set according to the average intensities, and iii) carrying out equalization processing on the digital input signal according to the adjustment gains to generate a digital output signal; and an audio reproduction module which reproduces an audio output corresponding to the ambient sound according to an analog output signal generated by digital-to-analog conversion of the digital output signal, thereby achieving intelligent volume adjustment and omitting a tedious manual volume adjustment operation.
