Abstract

A composition for soil containing industrial wastes as a primary component, which is prepared by charging a composition comprising the sludge from a paper making process, fly ash, zeolite and / or diatomaceous earth, and an aqueous adhesive into a rotary mixer, mixing the composition at 50 to 100 rpm, forming the composition into granules by means of an extruder, and heating and drying the granules at 130 to 150˚C for 20 to 30 minutes by means of a heating dryer. The above composition for soil has exhibited growth promoting effect for a plant, resulting in great yield increase in the cultivation of some field crops. Further, a composition for soil containing the sludge from a paper making process and fly ash is useful as an agent for treating a garbage, an excrement and a putrefactive material, a dehumidifying agent, and a deodorant.
