[0021] Referring initially to Figure 1, there is shown a schematic diagram of an oscillator 10 for use in accordance with the present invention. Various configurations of oscillators may be used with the present invention. As shown, the oscillator 10 includes a laser-pumped diode 12 mounted on a submount 14 . The laser pump diode 12 generates a laser beam 16 with a certain wavelength. When the laser beam 16 exits the laser pump diode 12 , the lens 20 focuses the laser beam 16 through the dichroic beam splitter 22 and enters the laser working medium 24 .
