Abstract

One kind of communicator capable of transmitting and receiving text information includes one input unit, one DTMF coder connected to the input unit, one radio transmitter connected to the DTMF coder, one radio receiver, one DTMF decoder connected to the radio receiver, and one display connected to the DTMF decoder. The DTMF coder generates one DTMF audio signal train based on at least one input symbol from the input unit and transmits the signal train to the radio transmitter; and the radio transmitter modulates the signal train into radio signal and transmits the radio signal to cellphone base station or one other communicator directly. The radio receiver demodulates the radio signal from the cellphone base station or the communicator into DTMF audio signal; and the DTMF decoder decodes the DTMF audio signal into symbols, which are shown in the display.
