Problems solved by technology

While this reduces the force required to complete the seal, its mechanical movement (and thus the required parts) is complex and the strapping machine requires more maintenance
For this reason, many such strapping machines used in the "field" have become a tool of limited use because they require more maintenance.

Abstract

A sequential punch used in a strapping machine to place and seal strapping around a load. The punch is positioned in a clamp assembly comprising a movable punch base and a fixed punch base configured to receive the associated strapping therebetween. Each movable and fixed base includes at least one punch with two punch heads. Each punch has a height determined by the distance between the outermost peripheral point of the punch and a plane perpendicular to the direction of motion. The heights of the punching heads are different from each other, so that each punching head can be engaged with the strapping in turn, that is, the initial bonding time of each punching head with the strapping material is different from each other.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to a sequential stamping machine. More specifically, the invention pertains to a sequential punch for use in a strapping machine. Background technique [0002] Strapping machines are well known in the art. These machines bind objects, such as a batch of goods, together by bundling materials. Strapping materials are available in a variety of different sizes and materials, and they are usually stored on a reel. Commonly used strapping materials are steel and plastic. [0003] Typically, one free end of the strapping material is passed around the load until the free end overlaps with the strapping material still attached to the reel. The overlapping portion of the strapping material is placed between the jaws of the strapping machine, while the free end of the strapping material is secured by the clamping portion of the machine. After the lashing material is secured, the material is pulled tightly around th...
