Problems solved by technology

However, if the positive value is too large, the distance between the first data and the second data will be too large, resulting in the loss of the second data read by the optical disc device 10 later.
On the other hand, if the fixed time FT is a negative value, the first part of the second data will cover the second part of the first data, resulting in the loss of part of the data to be written
In addition, since the optical disc device 10 uses the same fixed time FT to separate multiple different writing operations on the same track, an incorrect fixed time FT value will cause problems when using the optical disc device 10

Embodiment Construction

[0027] Please refer to Figure 4 . Figure 4 It is a schematic diagram of the optical disc device 20 of the present invention. The optical disc device 20 is approximately equal to the optical disc device 10 in the prior art, wherein the same components use the same reference numerals, and the main difference is that the optical disc device 20 has a delay detection circuit 25, which is used to distinguish and eliminate the continuous delay on the same track of the optical disc 12. Data gap between write operations.

[0028] For further understanding of the operation of the optical disc device 20, please refer to Figure 5 . Figure 5 It is a flow chart of the multiple writing operation method on the same track of the optical disc in the present invention. The steps in the process are described as follows:

[0029] Step 130: start;

[0030] Step 132: writing first data on the optical disc 12;

[0031] Step 134: Utilize the read path circuit 16 to search for the end positi...

Abstract

A method for using an optical disc apparatus to record data onto an optical disc in multiple write sessions. The optical disc apparatus includes a delay detection circuit for detecting gaps between data written to the optical disc in successive write sessions. The method includes writing a set of first data to the optical disc, searching for an ending location of the first data, writing a set of test data to the optical disc such that a beginning location of the test data is near the ending location of the first data, using the delay detection circuit to detect a gap between the first data and the test data, and writing a set of second data to the optical disc such that a beginning location of the second data is equal to the beginning location of the test data minus a value contained in the gap.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to an optical disc device and a method for accurately recording data on an optical disc using the optical disc device. Background technique [0002] In the process of writing data to the optical disc, the writing operation may be interrupted due to various factors. The common reason is that the writing operation is too fast, so that the buffer (buffer) storing the data to be written is temporarily useless. The written data can be written, and this phenomenon is called buffer underrun. In the case that the interruption of the writing operation cannot be completely avoided, Yamamoto discloses a known optical device to deal with the interruption of the writing operation in the US Patent No. 6,198,707 "Optical disc apparatus capable of multiple write sessions in a single track". It is included in the references of the present invention. The known optical device can perform multiple writing operations on a single track on the...
