Abstract

The access device includes main control exchange unit, backboard unit, and user interface unit. User interface unit includes line interface module, management module, module for processing data service, and backboard interface module. There are at least two connections in different speeds between module for processing data service and backboard interface module. The backboard unit includes bus capable of matching to bandwidth of load supporting and connecting in different speed. When bandwidth is needed to upgrade, through the said bus, user interface unit only needs to select one of connections from different speed based on bandwidth type of main control exchange unit to establish communication between user interface unit and main control exchange unit without need of changing user interface unit so as to realize smooth upgrading. The invention protects investment for equipment, and reduces upgrading cost effectively.
