Embodiment 1
[0045] A mold having a rectangular cross-sectional shape and a ridge having a width W2 of 0.4 mm and a height H of 0.5 mm was produced. The radii of curvature Rc and Rd of the ridge are 0.1 mm. figure 1 and figure 2 The shape of the tire obtained using this mold is shown.
Embodiment 2
[0047] A mold was obtained in the same manner as in Example 1, except that the height of the ridges was set at 0.3 mm.

Abstract
A cavity face 34 of a mold 32 has a protruding ridge P. A shape of cross section of the ridge P is almost rectangular. The ridge P has a first corner P 1 , a second corner P 2 , a third corner P 3 and a fourth corner P 4. The ridge P has a height H of 0.1 mm or greater and 1.0 mm or less. The ridge P has a width W 2 of 0.1 mm or greater and 2.0 mm or less. A curvature radius Rc of the second corner P 2 and a curvature radius Rd of the third corner P 3 are equal to or less than 0.2 mm. Included angles beta 1, beta2, beta3 and beta 4 of the ridge P are 80° or greater and 100° or less. A tire which is obtained by the mold 32 has small grooves with a reversed shape of the ridge P.
Description
[0001] This application claims priority based on Japanese Patent Application No. 2005-200694 filed on July 8, 2005, the entire contents of which are hereby incorporated by reference. technical field [0002] The present invention relates to pneumatic tires. More specifically, the present invention relates to improvements in tire treads. Background technique [0003] On snow and ice, studded tires have long been used. In recent years, studless tires are the mainstream. For studless tires, what is important is the braking performance on snow and ice. In order to improve braking performance, tires with glass fibers mixed in the tread have appeared on the market. Fiberglass has a higher hardness than ice. The fiberglass in tires that have fiberglass mixed in the tread grips snow and ice. This grip improves the braking performance of the tire. [0004] In the vulcanization of tires, the tread is held against the cavity surface of the mold. Through this close contact, a sur...
