Abstract

An energy analyzer for a refrigeration system includes a refrigeration circuit with a compressor (60), a condenser (70) and an evaporator (110) and a first drive device type. The storage device contains equations that correlate refrigeration system operating performance using the first driver type to refrigeration system operating performance using the second driver type without requiring a second driver type. The equation determines a polynomial having different combinations of the two variables: the temperature of the water entering the condenser (70) and the ratio of the input power from the second drive type divided by the design power of the second drive type. Each of these values ​​is calculated continuously during operation of the refrigeration system.
