Benefits of technology

The patent is about a new type of magnetic toy block that can be used by preschool children to build different shapes without being limited to the size or shape of conventional toy blocks. These magnetic toy blocks can improve creativity, space perception, and understanding of different geometric shapes for young children.

Problems solved by technology

These conventional toy blocks, however, are only capable of being connected vertically and horizontally, and allow children to create limited and simple shapes causing them to lose interest quickly
Moreover, the shapes and the number of toy blocks needed to build a particular shape or design are limited, fixed, and predetermined that any creativity or imagination of a child is in fact unnecessary and unused.
Further, it is impossible to build a complete structure if a single piece of block needed for a specific type or design is missing or lost.

Embodiment Construction

[0023]While the present disclosure is susceptible of embodiment in various forms, there is shown in the FIGs and will hereinafter be described presently preferred embodiments with the understanding that the present disclosure is to be considered an exemplification and is not intended to limit the disclosure to the specific embodiments illustrated.

[0024]First, each part is designated with a specific code (as explained below) and the same code is used for a particular part throughout.

[0025]As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, the magnetic toy building blocks employing the present embodiment consist of cylindrical protective members (100), the reinforcing member (110), and the magnets (10) inserted into the cylindrical protective members (100).

[0026]The cylindrical protective member (100) has a cylinder shaped body and insertion holes (111,112) on the top and bottom. There is partition (113) between the two insertion holes (111,112).

[0027]The magnets (10) are installed into the insertion holes (1...

Abstract

Disclosed herein is a magnetic toy block having various shapes that allow preschool toddlers and children to play and build different shapes of structures similar to Legos, and improve their creativity, space perception and understanding of different geometric shapes. The magnetic block toy includes a plurality of cylindrical protective members (100), wherein each of the plurality of cylindrical protective members (100) include a first insertion hole defined in an upper portion and a second insertion hole defined in a lower portion(111,112), wherein each of the first and second insertion holes (111,112) are configured to receive and hold a magnet (10). Reinforcing members (110) arranged between each of the plurality of cylindrical protective members (100), wherein the reinforcing members (110) are configured to connect , support and reinforce the plurality of the cylindrical protective members (100) at front, back and two sides; and wherein the plurality of cylindrical protective members (100) including a magnet installed in each of the first and second insertion holes (111,112) are arranged in two parallel rows; wherein a magnetic block is formed by placing the plurality of the cylindrical protective members (100) connected with the reinforcing members (110) in a frame and filling the frame with a resin, such that a surface of each of the magnets (10) installed in the insertion holes (111,112) is exposed.

Description

BACKGROUND[0001]Disclosed herein is a magnetic toy block having various shapes that allow preschool toddlers and children to play and build different shapes of structures similar to Legos, and improve their creativity, space perception and understanding of different geometric shapes.[0002]Building block toys are manufactured and sold as play equipment capable of developing the intelligence and creativity of preschool toddlers or younger elementary school children.[0003]Such building block toys are mostly in rectangular shape having protrusions at the top and grooves at the bottom, and the protrusions in one block are inserted into the grooves on the other to connect the blocks and form a structure.[0004]These conventional toy blocks, however, are only capable of being connected vertically and horizontally, and allow children to create limited and simple shapes causing them to lose interest quickly[0005]Moreover, the shapes and the number of toy blocks needed to build a particular sh...
