[0035]“Parabolic” instruments (e.g.,drills and / or files) are intended to be used by certified dental practitioners for the shaping and removal of bone before placing a dental implant. The instrument will be made of different materials such as High Speed Steel, Stainless steel, Stainless steel+medical coating (AlTiN, DLC, TiN, etc.). It is appreciated that various kinds of stainless steel can be used for the parabolic / worm spiral drills of the present invention. According to the cutting performance assessed during this project, these drills proved to be a very good instrument for osteotomy. This instrument is to be used mechanically with current handpieces (contra-angle) used in implantology. The system will neither cover new indications nor use any new technology other than those used in currently marketed products.
