System and method for at-nozzle injection of agrochemicals

A system and method for combining an additive with a carrier fluid in a spray nozzle. The carrier fluid is fed to one or more nozzles that include an embedded Venturi. The Venturi includes an induction port connected to an additive supply. As the carrier fluid flows through the nozzle, the flow creates a vacuum or suction force that draws in the additive. Of particular advantage, the concentration of the additive combined with the carrier fluid can be maintained constant even if the flow rate of the carrier fluid varies. The system and process are particularly well suited for spraying fields, such as crop fields or orchards, with an agrochemical.

Method for producing dispersed oxide reinforced ferritic steel having coarse grain structure and being excellent in high temperature creep strength

A method of manufacturing an oxide dispersion strengthened ferritic steel excellent in high-temperature creep strength having a coarse grain structure is provided. This method comprises mixing either element powders or alloy powders and a Y2O3 powder, subjecting the mixed powder to mechanical alloying treatment, solidifying the resulting alloyed powder by hot extrusion, and subjecting the resulting extruded solidified material to final heat treatment involving heating to and holding at a temperature of not less than the AC3 transformation point and slow cooling at a rate of not more than a ferrite-forming critical rate to thereby manufacture an oxide dispersion strengthened ferritic steel which comprises, as expressed by % by weight, 0.05 to 0.25% C, 8.0 to 12.0% Cr, 0.1 to 4.0% W, 0.1 to 1.0% Ti, 0.1 to 0.5% Y2O3 with the balance being Fe and unavoidable impurities and in which Y2O3 particles are dispersed in the steel. In this method, by using a TiO2 powder as an element powder of a Ti component to be mixed at the mechanical alloying treatment or by additionally adding an Fe2O3 powder, the bonding of Ti with C is suppressed so that the C concentration in the matrix does not decrease. As a result, α to γ transformation during the heat treatment is ensured and it is possible to manufacture an oxide dispersion strengthened ferritic steel having a coarse and equiaxed grain structure effective in improving high-temperature creep strength.

Lid opening/closing system of an airtight container

A curtain nozzle is located above an opening portion (10) in a FIMS. A gas curtain formed of inert gas for closing the opening portion is formed, and at the same time, the inert gas is also supplied to an inside of a FOUP. Here, the direction of supply of the inert gas supplied to the inside of the FOUP is such that it does not have a flow component directing toward the gas flow forming the gas curtain. The above-mentioned structure prevents increase over time in a partial pressure of oxidizing gas in the FOUP fixed by a FIMS system in an open state.

Method of processing an object in a container and lid opening/closing system used in the method

A partial pressure of oxidizing gas in an opened state FOUP fixed in a FIMS system is reduced when the FOUP is closed. Purge gas supply nozzles are placed outside of two vertical sides of an opening portion (10) within the FIMS. A curtain nozzle is additionally installed which can form a gas curtain from purge gas above the top side of the opening portion (10). When a pod (2) is closed with a lid (4), a door opening / closing mechanism keeps the lid (4) at a given angle with respect to the flowing direction of curtain gas for a given period of time, and hence purge gas supplied to the gas curtain is additionally put into use for the purging of the interior of the pod by the lid 4.
