Abstract

The invention discloses a method to achieve LDPC codes and a coder, which comprises a plurality of member coders, a control unit and a selector unit. The member coders are connected in parallel, and encode input information by making use of corresponding check matrix, and output corresponding encoded results to the selector unit. The control unit controls the encoded results of corresponding member coders selected by the selector unit according to the set code rate, and outputs the results. By adopting the invention, LDPC codes of various speeds are generated under the circumstance that the check matrix structure is not destroyed; structures of all of the member coders are independent, and are unrestricted by each other to achieve simplicity. In addition, when the HARQ technology is adopted to send the information, LDPC codes of various speeds can be generated through simple combination according to the preset variable rate proposal, accordingly, the invention works flexibly.
