Embodiment Construction

[0049] Fig. 1 shows a zipper type window actuator 1 according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention. The actuator 1 will be used to automatically open and close windows in a building, where the building is at least partially ventilated by so-called natural ventilation. The control of opening and closing windows is well known, so it will not be described in detail here.

[0050] The window actuator 1 is operated by a push fastener strip 20, which can be completely bent in one direction, but can only extend from a straight chain position to a very limited extent in the opposite direction. This feature allows the chain to be used to push loads. The chain 20 is provided with rollers and is adapted to engage a sprocket. When used as a window or door manipulator with a window or door with an openable sash structure, the housing usually fits on or within the outline of the sash or frame perpendicular to the opening / closing direction, and the distal end of the chain is connec...

Abstract

A push-pull chain type window actuator with an elongated and slim housing. The actuator is slim enough for mounting inside a window frame. The housing includes a chain path in communication with a chain exit. The push pull chain is engaged by a sprocket that is driven via a transmission by two or more electric drive motors in tandem. An auxiliary axial bearing supports the drive shafts of the electric drive motors. The transmission includes a worm gear. In order to extend the life span of the wormwheel the thickness of the teeth of the metal worm is chosen to be significantly less than the thickness of the plastic wormwheel. A resilient stop block dampens the halt of the push-pull chain at the end of the outward stroke.

Description

Technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a push zipper type window actuator, in particular to a push zipper actuator with an elongated housing, the cross-sectional size of which is small enough to install the actuator in a window frame. These actuators are used for electric operation of windows, and include a sprocket, an elongated actuator housing, a push chain and an electric motor. The actuator housing is provided with a chain path communicating with the chain outlet. The chain is at least partially accommodated in the chain path and engaged with the sprocket, and the drive shaft of the electric motor is coupled to the sprocket through a transmission device. Background technique [0002] Push-strip window actuators are widely used in automatic systems for natural ventilation of buildings to open and close windows. Natural ventilation regulates the indoor climate of the building through controlled ventilation through windows. The natural driving force is formed b...
