Method and plant for without a base web producing an air-laid hydroentangled fibre web

An air-laid and fiber web technology, applied in chemical instruments and methods, acupuncture machines, non-woven fabrics, etc., can solve the problems that synthetic fibers do not participate in the absorption process, the fiber web has poor absorption properties, and rarely participates in the absorption process, etc.

Problems solved by technology

[0017] Compared to the very high price, the absorbent properties of this web are poor because the expensive synthetic fibers do not participate in the absorption process or take part in the absorption process very little

Embodiment Construction

[0036] In the embodiments shown in the accompanying drawings of the present invention, all include forming device 1, which mainly consists of forming head 2 arranged above forming wire 3 and suction box 4 arranged below forming wire.

[0037] During operation, the forming wire runs around the four rolls 5 in the directions indicated by the arrows. Via the first and second suction fans 6 and 7 connected to the suction box 4, a pressure difference is created on the forming wire.

[0038] Fibers from a fiber supply (not shown) pass through channels 8 and are carried by the air flow into the forming head. The fibers are deposited as a fluff layer on the forming wire under the action of the pressure differential.

[0039] The fluff usually contains some powders, which are small fine particles of the order of 10-50μ. These powders bring a lot of trouble to the subsequent hydroentangling process, increase its operating cost, and will reduce the quality of the final fiber web.

Abstract

Method and plant for without a base web producing an air-laid hydroentangled fibre web ABSTRACTA plant for producing an air-laid non-woven web of cellulose fibres or of cellulose fibres mixed with synthetic fibres is comprising at least one air-laying section (1) for depositing fibre fluff into a layer upon a forming wire (3), an overlying second wire (12) for transferring the layer of fluff to a third wire (16; 30) having mesh count small enough for preventing the fibres from penetrating into the wire, and at least one nozzle (24; 25) for ejecting a water jet towards the fluff on the third wire (16), thereby hydroentangling the fluff into a coherent web. By means of the method and plant according to the invention it is possible to produce hydroentangled fibre webs which is less expensive and has better absorption properties than hitherto known. The webs can be produced with weights between about 20 - 2000 g / m<2>.

Description

[0001] This application is a divisional application of an invention application with an international filing date of May 23, 2001 and a Chinese application number of 01820859.2. technical field [0002] The present invention relates to an airlaid nonwoven web formed from cellulosic or synthetic fibers or cellulosic fibers blended with synthetic fibers, the airlaid nonwoven web having the Structures obtained on fibrous webs, the invention also relates to methods and apparatus for the manufacture of such fibrous webs. Background technique [0003] This type of hydroentangled web is especially used in the manufacture of disposable nonwoven products which can be [0004] --- Absorbent core materials for feminine hygiene articles; [0005] --- Incontinence items; [0006] ---diaper; [0007] --- table napkins; [0008] ---Hospital products, such as bed sheets; [0009] ---rag; [0010] ---towel. [0011] In the hydroentangling process, water jets at pressures of up to, for...
