Problems solved by technology

However, in the state in which the piston 6 is elastically supported in the moving direction by the elastic force of the mechanical spring and the gas spring, the stroke S2 of the piston 6 decreases
Correspondingly, the piston 6 cannot reach TDC, which causes the linear compressor to have low efficiency and compression force

Embodiment Construction

[0052] A linear compressor according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention will now be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0053] As shown in FIG. 3, in this linear compressor, an inlet pipe 2a and an outlet pipe 2b through which refrigerant is sucked and discharged are installed at one side of the closed container 2, and a cylinder 4 is fixed to the closed container 2. Among them, a piston 6 is installed in the cylinder 4 so as to linearly reciprocate to compress the refrigerant sucked into the compression space P in the cylinder 4 , and various springs are installed so as to be elastically supported along the moving direction of the piston 6 . Here, the piston 6 is connected to a linear motor 10 for generating a linear reciprocating driving force. As shown in Figures 4A and 4B, even though the natural frequency f of the piston 6 n is varied by the load, the linear motor 10 controls its operating frequency f c and thus with the na...

Abstract

The present invention discloses a linear compressor in which a piston (6) is driven by a linear motor (10) and linearly reciprocated inside a cylinder (4) to suck, compress and discharge refrigerants. Even though load is varied, the linear compressor performs the operation in a resonance state by estimating a natural frequency of the piston (6) and synchronizing an operation frequency of the linear motor (10) with the natural frequency of the piston (6), and efficiently handles the load by varying a compression capacity by changing a stroke (5) of the piston (6).

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a linear compressor capable of rapidly overcoming a load and improving compression efficiency by synchronizing an operating frequency of a linear motor with a natural frequency of a movable member changed by a load, and changing a stroke of the movable member according to the load. Background technique [0002] In general, compressors have been widely used in household appliances such as refrigerators and air conditioners or in the entire industrial field. A mechanical device that operates on a gas to increase its pressure. [0003] Compressors are broadly classified into reciprocating compressors, which have such a compression space through which operating gas is sucked or discharged between the piston and the cylinder that the piston can linearly reciprocate in the cylinder to compress the refrigerant; rotary compressors , which has a compression space through which operating gas is sucked or discharged between the e...
