Embodiment 3
[0040] Case 1: Female, 55 years old, came to our department for treatment in September 2004 with a spontaneous chest scar for 10 years, which was painful and itchy. Examination revealed a 1 cm × 0.5 cm red scar in the chest area, which was raised above the skin and had a hard texture (Fig. 1, a). After local injection of hormone drugs, the scar became flat and soft, but the scar was still congested and recurred from time to time (Fig. 1, b). From August 2005, compound all-trans retinoic acid cream was applied to the affected area once a day. After 12 months of continuous application, the scar did not recur, and the skin of the scar was transformed into normal skin (Fig. 1, c) .
