Embodiment Construction

[0059] Readers of this patent application will see the improvements achieved by utilizing the dual action mechanism presented in the "Detailed Description". Readers can draw conclusions by imagining the following actions: rodents or other small animals traveling in a generally straight line, following the common travel route of rodents from point A to point B, triggering the first bait it comes into contact with pedal, unaware that the bow is arcing over its body from its rear, which in turn will trigger the release of the second bow simultaneously, or nearly simultaneously, through the domino effect, inevitably by direct contact or mechanical vibration, thereby Combats rodents from the front, thus ensuring capture while maintaining the stability and permanent placement of the trap.

[0060] A preferred but non-limiting embodiment of the invention will now be described, by way of example only, with reference to the accompanying drawings.

Abstract

The invention provides an animal trap comprising: a main body, having a top surface area, opposite sides and reduced, wherein the opposite ends are provided with mounting holes in said main body for vertical positioning and stability; dual bait receiving means, disposed atop said upper surface of said main body; dual bow members mounted pivotally on a horizontal axis, disposed transversely to said main body portion, able to move freely in a 180 degree arc, in relation to its horizontal axis from a set to a sprung position; dual hold down rods pivotally mounted on opposing ends of said main body portion whereby maintaining free ends, able to engage engagement means of said bait receiving means; dual spring's means urging said bow members to a sprung position. The animal trap has features of low cost, safety, convenience and high trapping efficiency.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a trap for small animals, in particular to a trap for single catching rats and mice. Background technique [0002] Multiple types of this single action, single bow and single throw have been used in the past; bait pedals and trigger mechanisms. Pest control specialists have used all of these agencies with little success. A conventional single-bow, single-catch mousetrap consists of a bow, a bait pedal, and a single clamp rod. [0003] Prior art, such as U.S. Patent No. 4,245,423 issued to Souza et al. on January 20, 1981, has a single bow arc, single pedal independent small animal trap. The reason why this trap is not effective is that, Due to the inherent design defects of the trap itself, such as instability, light weight and small size, etc., when the rodent touches the trap, the trap is easy to fall over, thus generating instability. [0004] U.S. Patent No. 4,711,049 issued December 8, 1987 to Kness et al., U.S. Patent ...
