Abstract

The invention provides a liquid crystal display which is capable of improving dynamic image display quality and the drive method thereof. The liquid crystal display comprises a panel with a plurality of pixels, a time sequence controller, a data drive circuit and a scanning drive circuit. The pixels generate predetermined brightness within the time of one image and are electrically connected respectively with scanning lines and data wires. The time sequence controller renews time according to at least one scanning line signal and calculates the number of the leaping points which are overleaptduring the grey scale transformation of the pixels from the previous image to the current image according to at least one high-low gray scale table to find out the renewal time and the high-low gray scale table at which the number of the leaping points during the grey scale transformation process is the smallest. The data drive circuit produces pixel driving data to the pixel according to the renewal time discovered by the time sequence controller. The scanning drive circuit renews the time of the signal of the scanning line which corresponds to the lowest number of the leaping points and sends the signal of the scanning line to the pixels. Therefore, the liquid crystal display improves dynamic image display quality.
